There has been a delay in the remake of Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. Several key figures left the project and the studio behind it is trying to figure out how to continue it.

The game will be delayed as the studio is looking for new contracts and development work. The demo for the game was finished at the end of June and was shown to Lucasfilm and Sony.

The vertical demo slice was created to show Lucasfilm and Sony that the project is not sustainable. The design director and art director were let go.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic was supposed to be released by Aspyr at the end of the year. Some developers think a release in 2025. The developer jumped onto the project in May after the studio only handled outsourcing. Some of the staff at Aspyr think that Saber could take over development entirely.

In 2003 the original Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic was released for PC and XBOX. The remake will be a timed console launch exclusive on the PS5. Since it was first revealed, few details have been released.
