According to the team, the New York Yankees' star has been placed on the injured list.

Tim Locastro has been recalled to the Yankees' roster.

He went on the 10-day injured list in May with a right calf strain. The Bronx Bombers had a lot of injuries in the month.

He missed 13 games last May due to a quad strain, but he was mostly healthy in 2021. He was one of the few Yankees who were able to stay in shape.

He played just 18 games in the previous year. In his five years with the Yankees, he only played 140 games.

He is hitting just.228 this year but has 24 homers, 61RBI and a.807 OPS.

The fact that the team is paying him $29 million this year as part of a 13-year, $325 million contract that goes through the 2027 season has made keeping him on the field difficult.

The Yankees will be hoping this isn't a recurring issue as they gear up for the playoffs.
