  • Josh Hawley fled the Capitol after he pumped his fist at the mob.

  • Romney told Insider that the video wasn't his greatest moment.

  • According to reports, the former presidential candidate once said that he was responsible for the riot.

Romney said that the video of Josh Hawley fleeing the Capitol was not good for him.

Romney told Insider at the Capitol that that was not his greatest moment in the hearing.

Romney urged Republican senators to withdraw their objections to Pennsylvania and Arizona's electoral results after the riot. He told Fox News that he has no regrets about that day.

The security camera footage of the freshman Missouri senator running out of the Capitol was shown to the committee by Elaine Luria.

Luria displayed a now-infamous photo of Hawley giving the mob a fist pump. He raised his fist to show his support for the protesters at the security gates.

Luria said that a Capitol Police officer told the committee that Hawley was doing it in a safe space and that heriled up the crowd.

Luria said that Senator Hawley fled after the protesters invaded the Capitol. "Look for yourself"

The hearing room erupted in laughter after the security camera footage was played.

Romney did not make the most stinging comments towards Hawley. Romney confronted Hawley after senators were evacuated to a secure location. He said that he had caused the problem.
