Liz Cambage and the Los Angeles Sparks have ended their marriage five months after she joined them.
The contract divorce is between the four-time All-Star and the team.
"We share Liz's decision to end her contract with the organization because of the support that we have received," Eric said. We decided to part ways amicably because we wanted what's best for Liz. Our core group is excited about our run towards a playoff spot in 2022.
According to Khristina Williams of Girls Talk Sports TV, Cambage wants to leave the LA area.
It won't be made public until Tuesday at the earliest, according to Mike Robinson of The Ball Out.
In February of this year, Cambage signed a one-year deal with the Sparks after playing for Las Vegas. She didn't play the 2020 season because of health concerns.
"It was either L.A. or out for me, that's all I know," he said. I didn't want to be anything else.
