It seems like gender equity and environmentalsustainability are unrelated, but research shows that they are. Women are disproportionately impacted by the global climate crisis and are uniquely positioned to lead the fight for sustainable development. The authors offer six strategies to empower women and address environmental challenges through an intersectional approach to sustainable development. They argue that leaders need to acknowledge the complexity and interconnectedness of these issues and develop solutions that will improve them all.
