Do I have a phone for you if you are the kind of person who won't rest until every last component is equipped with RGB lighting, right down to the case fans in their PC? Nubia has just launched its RedMagic 7S Pro gaming smartphone internationally and, like last year's RedMagic 6S Pro, some models feature transparent backplates to allow you to see their internal fans. Nubia says the fans can spin at up to 20,000rpm to keep the phone's internals cool.

There is enough interest in the RedMagic 7 that there will be multiple releases per year. These phones are designed for gaming, where other concerns like camera quality are more of a priority. There is a sizable market for this approach.

The RedMagic 7S Pro's internals are focused on gaming. The non-S RedMagic 7 is the only one that doesn't have the latest Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip. Nubia claims that the phone's cooling system runs quieter and has better air flow than its predecessors.

There are two Nubia shoulder buttons that can be used as extra buttons while gaming. Nubia claims that the Red Magic 7S Pro has a secondary processor called the Red Core 1, which handles audio, lighting, and feedback. The phone has a 3.5mm jack for wired headphones since it's a gaming phone.

In terms of more traditional phone specifications, the 7S Pro has a larger screen with a better camera. The international model has a 5,000mAh battery that can be charged at up to 65W, which is less than the 135W of the Chinese model. There are three cameras, a main camera, an ultrawide camera, and a macro.

The Red Magic 7S Pro will be available in the US soon. Prices start at $729 (779, £669) for the Obsidian version, rising to $899 (949, £809) for the Mercury and Supernova models. The RedMagic 7S Pro will be on sale on August 9th. There is no indication that the non-Pro RedMagic 7S will be released outside of China.
