The purple color of the S22 is officially called "Bora Purple." According to the company's press release, "Bora" is the Korean word for "purple", meaning that the new color is "purple purple." The same price as the original S22 will be available on August 10th.

The base model of the flagship series has the same color as it was when it was first launched. The previous color was a lot lighter, verging on pink, and had gold detailing around the phone's frame. The new purple phone has the same color across the back, camera, and frame as the old one.

More devices will be available later in the year, according to the announcement. First for the S22, and later for exciting new devices later this year, we are excited to introduceborate purple. On the same day as the Unpacked event, we might get a glimpse of the upcoming devices.
