The public hearings put on by the House committee investigating the Capitol attack were criticized by Sen. Tom Cotton.
Senator TomCotton heard him criticize the Jan 6 hearings on his radio show. You confessed that you hadn't watched any of them.
The lack of cross-examination of witnesses in hearings concerning January 6 was a departure from Anglo-American jurisprudence according to Cotton.
Cotton said that the best way to get at the truth is through cross-examination.
He said that there was no one on the committee who disagreed with Nancy Pelosi.
Cheney hit back at Cotton after he criticized hearings he didn't watch.
She said that watching them before rendering judgment is more consistent with Anglo- American jurisprudence.
Cotton said on the show that he had not watched any of the hearings and had not seen any of the snippets on the news that were related to them.
Cotton objected to the lack of context presented by its members.
The full transcripts have never been made public. He said that the full videos have never been released. We don't know what those witnesses said during their deposition. There was no lawyer in the room if we had those.
