Genshin Impact’s next major update will add two beautiful new biomes

The game's developers shared a look at some of the new zones in a new video

A rainforest and a desert will be the major zones of the new areas. There are rolling hills in the rainforest. The desert has more ruins with intricate architecture than the other way around. Both look like natural additions to the environment.

There are more fanciful elements in each of the biomes. The desert has ruins that are floating upside down, while the forest has a city built on a huge tree. The remains of a giant robot can be found in each of the different areas of the game. There is a lot about Genshin Impact that reminds you of Breath of the Wild.

Genshin Impact is releasing a 3.0 release. It doesn't have an official release date, but it is expected to launch at the end of August. Check out the explainer from our friends at Polygon for more on the update.
