The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was supposed to be released on September 1st, but has been delayed. The game will be released a few months later, with the exact date to be announced soon.

The Gollum game won't be launching alongside Amazon's Prime Video show, The Rings of Power, because of a game delay. It is easy to see how the game would get a boost if it came out a day before the show.

It is more important to give developers and other people time to do their jobs than to hit a specific release date. The first season of The Rings of Power will consist of eight episodes and will be released once a week. The Lord of the Rings could get a few weeks or months back in the cultural consciousness if the show is good.

The game will be released on the PS4 and 5, PC, Xbox One and Series S / X. The Switch version was supposed to be out a few months after the other ones. Daedalic didn't reply to the question of whether the switch version would be able to launch alongside the others because of the delay or if it would still be releasing a few months later.
