  • Google has launched the latest Android 13 beta update.
  • The update includes minor bug fixes related to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS connectivity.
  • The update is currently rolling out to Pixel smartphones.

Roughly two weeks after the release of the final major version of the operating system, the search engine giant has released a small update to the program.

The update is expected to fix some issues with the phones. One fix is related to dropped phone calls while driving.

The complete list of bugs can be found in the release notes.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented an app from enabling or disabling Bluetooth if it didn't have the BLUETOOTH_CONNECT permission, even though the app was targeting an API level where the permission is not required.
  • Fixed issues that sometimes caused a device to crash and reboot when connecting to certain WiFi networks.
  • Fixed an issue where Meet connectivity could drop while driving.
  • Fixed an issue where the system could incorrectly interpret GPS data.

There are some known issues that still apply to the Android 13Beta in this build, despite the fact that it has been fixed. Problems with the fingerprint sensor on some devices, as well as other issues with apps, are included in the list.

Since the final major build of the platform is called Beta 4 and it's the last major build before the stable release, there are some ongoing issues that need to be fixed. A few more updates are expected in the coming days or weeks. We're only a few weeks away from the stable release, which is much sooner than the launch of the new version of the operating system.

If you own a Pixel device, you can check for the update by navigating to Settings > System > Software update, then tap Check for update.
