Zari Tarazi was created by Phil Klemmer andMarc Guggenheim and was played by Iranian-American and Muslim actress Tala Ashe. She was the one who stood out the most, with the writers of the show and her lead being nearly wholly original. Zari is an Iranian-American and Muslim hacktivist from a future where ARGUS has banned religion and murdered her brother and presumably her parents. She ends up on an adventure when she meets the time-traveling legends and discovers that she has wind powers. In casual but meaningful scenes, we can see that she is sincere in her religious beliefs.

She eventually succeeds in changing the future and preserving her brother's life, but at a cost to her own existence in the timeline: she's replaced with a Zari who never had to face hardship. Initially appearing shallow, "Zari 2.0" soon starts to realize she has more in common with the previous Zari than she might have thought. Zari is a wonderful and meaningful representation of Muslims and West Asian people everywhere. Zari will live on and hopefully enter the comics and other media as she deserves to. It's onNetflix.
