A woman was taken into custody on Monday after she fired several rounds into the air at Dallas Love Field Airport in Texas before she was shot and injured by a police officer.
Travelers scrambled for cover and flights were delayed after the shooting.
The woman, who was not identified, was dropped off at the airport just before 11 a.m., went to a ticket counter, and then emerged and opened fire inside the airport, according to the Dallas Police Department.
She was arrested and taken to a hospital after being shot by a police officer inside the airport. On Monday, her condition was not known.
It wasn't clear who the woman was aiming at when she shot. The officer shot at her after she started shooting.
Lanasha said that she saw people running through the terminal.
In the middle of the storm, there are no drills on how to get out.
Travelers hid in the kitchen and behind furniture. Joe Castronovo III said he saw people running when he stepped off the Jetway and into the terminal.

The older Mr. Castronovo said he saw a woman running away from the building after pulling up. Something was not right and we were scared. People were told to hide by workers.
The police chief in Rockwall, Texas, east of Dallas, was evacuated from Love Field after an apparent shooting.
He stated that the family is safe. TheTSA did a good job.
The T.S.A. didn't have an estimate on how long it would take to get travelers through security after the shooting. The shooting at Love Field delayed more than 60 flights.
Security stopped departures from Love Field until 2:30 pm. According to the FAA website, it is Eastern time.
Southwest Airlines said that it was aware of law enforcement activity at Dallas Love Field.
