Two years ago, the Tianwen-1 satellite was launched along with a lander and rover, and entered the red planet. The rover is currently in a state of sleep due to the winter on the Red Planet.
The larger of Mars' two moons, Phobos, is just 3,700 miles from the planet and takes eight hours to circle it.
Medium-resolution images of the entire Red Planet were taken by the Tianwen-1 mission last month. According to CNN, despite having finished its mission, the orbiter will still be preparing for future scientific endeavors.
In December, the man who crawled the surface of Mars is expected to return to action.
