Rangers have signed Ridvan Yilmaz from Besiktas for an undisclosed fee.
He has six caps for his country and played 72 times for Besiktas.
Yilmaz said he couldn't wait to play in front of the Rangers fans.
I'm very excited to join a club of Rangers' size and I'm looking forward to meeting my new teammates.
Calvin Bassey, who was sold to Ajax for almost 20 million dollars, was replaced by Yilmaz, who won the Super Lig with Besiktas.
The attacking full-back was part of the side that finished sixth in the Turkish league.
"This is a club who have shown they can compete against some of the best teams in Europe and I am really excited by the challenges we have ahead of us," said Yilmaz, who was part of Turkey's Euro 2020 squad.
Yilmaz has shown at Besiktas that he can be successful at Rangers, according to Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Ridvan will bring a lot of quality to the club according to the Dutch coach.
He has developed in a winning environment at Besiktas over the last few years.
I can't wait to see him in action for the first time when he arrives for training.
There are reports that 30-year-old right-back James Tavernier has agreed a contract extension beyond the end of his current deal.
The extension was agreed with centre-halfConnor Goldson.
"We signed a lot of new players this season, but we also know it's important to keep players in the core group," he said. "Goldson just signed a new contract, so that's good for the mix we have."
