David Warner as Chancellor Gorkon

David Warner died at the age of 80. He died from a cancer related illness.

David Warner attended the Royal Academy for Dramatic Arts in London before moving to film. He was an in-demand character actor and starred in many films. He had over 200 credited acting roles when he died.

He stood at six-foot two and was known as a villain. Warner played two characters in the Star Trek films The Final Frontier and The Undiscovered Country. Warner became a Trek guest star icon when he played the Cardassian interrogator in the two parter "Chain of Command."

Other memorable Warner roles include ProfessorPerry in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Secrets of the Ooze, Jack the Ripper in Time After Time, and Senator Sandar in Tim Burton's Planet of the Apes. He starred in a number of horror films, including the cult classic Waxwork and The Omen, which gained critical respect.

Warner made a name for himself in the world of voice-over work, as well as playing an alternate incarnation of the Doctor in several audio dramas.
