Microsoft is speeding up the Xbox Series X / S boot time

The boot time of Microsoft's consoles is getting faster. The cold boot startup time has been reduced in the latest build of the dashboard. A short bootup animation was created by Microsoft.

The bootup time for the Xbox was confirmed by Microsoft on Friday. The company created a shorter boot up animation from the original boot up animation, helping to reduce the overall startup time.

If the consoles are set to Energy Saver mode, the boot times will be quicker. The console is powered off in Energy Saver mode. Energy Saver is friendlier for electricity bills and the planet than power on the console and play.

The boot process for the Xbox Series X / S will be reduced from 20 seconds to 15 seconds thanks to Microsoft. It makes the Energy Saver mode even more appealing after Microsoft added support for downloads in the background for new consoles.
