A bunch of press-release-hungry journalists got a press release after the panel. The cast list for Secret Invasion included the name of Rege-Jean Page. A quick correction was sent out after publications reported the error.
For a number of reasons, this is funny, not the least of which is that they did it for a show where the powers of an entire alien species can shape-shift into anyone. We will never know if Page was ever going to be a part of the show, or if he was ever going to be a surprise guest, until the show comes out. Mistakes were bound to be made in a weekend full of reveals. I am sure Page would have done great if this announcement had been made.
Colbie Smulders is reprising her role as Maria Hill in the series, as are many other actors. There are a lot of incredibly talented British actors who will be joining the new series.
Page is set to play the role of a paladin in the film, which will be released in theaters on March 3,23.
Secret Invasion will premiere on Disney+ in the spring of23.
