A group of people in the area of the Oak Fire have not been requested by law enforcement or any agency responding to the fire.

The sheriff's office said it was responding after getting many questions about why the militia was activated.

We have not activated them, they are acting on their own accord. The Sheriff's Office said that they appreciated their efforts and that of other private groups.

The control and command structure was put in place for this purpose and is important for the safety of the public and our staff.

In relation to the Oak Fire, the District Attorney's Office posted on their Facebook page that they would prosecute any incidents of loot or fraud.

The post didn't say if there were incidents of loot or fraud.

According to Cal Fire, the Oak Fire has spread to 14,281 acres.

Thousands of people have been displaced by the fire in the county. A number of structures have been destroyed and many are in danger.

There is a meeting tonight. There is a high school in the area.
