Denny Hamlin's win at Long POND was taken away by NASCAR when his car failed inspection and was disqualified.

Hamlin's car and Busch's car were disqualified from the race. Hamlin had won at least seven times in his career, but lost his third win of the season. Busch paced the race with a high 63 laps.

The penalties can be appealed and both Toyotas were sent to the research and development center.

Brad Moran, managing director of the NASCAR Cup Series, said there was some issues with the car. There was no reason why the material should have been in that location. Basically, that comes down to a disqualification.

Final decisions should be sorted out by next week, according to Moran.

He was given his fourth victory of the season.

The introduction of a new car has made the inspection rules tighter. The new version of NASCAR is a kit car. Each team gets the same pieces from different vendors and has instructions on how to put it together.

Moran said they don't want to talk about the problem. The teams and the owners were aware that the new car would be kept with tight tolerances. We can't go down the path that we had in the past with the other car, that's what all the teams know.
