The cast and creative team of the show put on a panel for the 13th season of the show. The panel focused on the absence of Jessica Walter while we got a preview.
According to a Comic-Con story, Jessica Walter was looking at Henry Cavill at a party and that's when she met Mr. Cavill. Tyler said that she wanted to play your mother and Walter had other plans.
Malory will be written out in the 13th season, with Walter's last performance as the acerbic spymistress having already been released posthumously. "I was describing it to someone over the phone, they started crying on the phone." I thought this was what we were going to do. Malory was on the beach with Ron Cadillac, who was the husband of Walter, and it felt like a fitting tribute to the two of them.
It wasn't easy to write. It's hard to reform. Jon did a great job. We had one job and I did a great job with that scene. Is it still trying to make people laugh? Jon's voice had a nice quiver in it. Mark Dante did a great job with that. You couldn't record her so we had to read her thoughts. We had both Mark and Jon perform and I thought they did a great job. Judy had a joke in there and I liked it.
