The right-wing news channel One American News has been dropped by a number of providers, as reported by The Daily Beast. Beginning July 31st, viewers will no longer have access to OAN, according to a notice on its website.

The business-as-usual carriage negotiations that occur between content distributors and content providers are what the negotiation with OAN has been. The negotiations were focused on economics but OAN didn't agree to fair terms. The company didn't reply to the request for comment.

OAN is left without a major broadcasting platform

OAN, which is owned by the California-based Herring Networks, has been accused of peddling conspiracy theories. The network's channel was suspended by YouTube in 2020 for promoting a fake cure. OAN was the subject of a defamation lawsuit by the electronic voting system company. OAN and other conservative stations were ordered by Smartmatic to stop making claims about voter fraud.

Civil rights, human rights, and media justice groups signed a letter last year urging DirecTV to drop OAN. The AT&T spinoff dropped the channel in April after not renewing its contract. The companiesbowed to political pressure and could potentially cause the network to shut down according to the lawsuit. OAN is only available to stream online or on select local stations now that the channels have been dropped by two of the country's largest broadcasters.
