Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis told Republicans to get President Joe Biden at a major statewide event on Saturday.

"We need to see some action to hold Biden and his people accountable, and we need to raise money for the Republican Party of Florida," he said.

The governor was against the immigration policy. The record number of migrants that have arrived in the US during the last year has been referred to as "open border" by the administration.

He said the party was too much talk and not enough action.

I'm sick of them talking if they get a majority in the Congress, he said during the "Victory Dinner" event. They are telling us what they are going to do. I don't like them going on cable and doing this.

He said that in Florida we do not just talk.

Republicans will have control over which public hearings are held if they win a majority in the House. The fate of the Senate isn't certain.

The room at the Hard Rock Hotel was filled with people applauding. Insider was invited to cover the event in person.

The banquet was a campaign event, but the governor didn't mention his Democratic challengers. They include a former governor of Florida and an agriculture commissioner. They will be competing against each other in the primary.

The governor is expected to win reelection due to his national name recognition and the fact that the Republicans have out registered the Democrats.

Many of his favorite talking points were covered in a speech on Saturday. He wanted to be seen as a foil to Biden.

We should all send our best wishes to president Joe Biden for a quick recovery from his battle with cancer. Hopefully the United States will recover quickly from its bout with Joe Biden.

The governor looked back on his time in office and said he was a fighter against the media and the woke mob.

"You have to have the courage to stand in the way of the Brandon Administration," he said, using an anti-Biden nickname.

The White House didn't reply to the request for comment. The DNC pointed to a statement it issued before the speech in which it bashed the administration for not ordering the vaccines.

His high-profile fight against Disney over a school curriculum was one of the reasons why he reopened schools sooner than most states.

The actions of the governor have drawn the ire of the Democrats.

They have endeared him to the right, with some polls showing that he may surpass Donald Trump if he runs for president. Dave Rubin said that he had been acting as president for a year and a half.

The former president often takes credit for helping him land the GOP nomination, but he didn't mention it in his speech. Trump delivered a speech to the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit on Saturday. On Friday, he appeared at that event as well.
