After Friday's 28-5 loss to the Toronto BlueJays, the Boston RedSox are dealing with an injury to third baseman Rafael Devers.

Prior to Saturday's game, the RedSox announced that Devers had been placed on the 10-day injured list with inflammation in his right leg.

Jaylin Davis is going to be called up from Triple-A to take the place of Devers.

After his at-bat in the fifth, Devers was taken out of the game because of a problem with his leg.

The team was considering putting Devers on the injured list, according to the manager.

He felt unwell after the last at-bat. We are discussing what we are going to do. He could go on the IL. He is going through a lot of tests. It will be seen. There's a chance he'll go on the IL.
