Less than two weeks after decommiting from North Carolina, rising senior G.G. Jackson made his commitment to South Carolina on Saturday.
Jackson will join the USC program for the upcoming season and reclassify to the class of 2022, he announced on the social networking site.
Jackson is a basketball player from Ridge View High School in South Carolina.
Through 14 games on the Nike EYBL circuit this season, he has put up 12.1 points and 9.4 rebound, and he has averaged 12.9 points and 9.8 rebound per game. He was named the Player of the Year in South Carolina during his junior high school career. Jackson was named the NBPA Top 100 Camp's Most Valuable Player after he averaged 14.0 points and 9.2 rebound.
Jackson announced on July 14 that he was decommitting from North Carolina, becoming the first Tar Heels commit to do so in almost two decades. In the modern recruiting era, no player has left the Tar Heels for another school.
