More witnesses said that Donald Trump got into a heated argument with his security detail after they refused to drive him to the U.S. Capitol.
In recorded testimony aired Thursday, retired D.C. Police Sgt. Mark Robinson said he learned a lot while sitting in the lead vehicle of the presidential motorcade.
There was a heated discussion about the president's desire to go to the Capitol while he was sitting in the other car. He described it to him as a heated argument.
Robinson said he had never heard of a president disobeying his Secret Service agents.
According to a member of the committee presiding over Thursday's hearing, they have evidence from multiple sources regarding an angry exchange in the presidential SUV.
Cassidy Hutchinson, a top White House aide, brought that exchange to light during her testimony at a House select committee hearing. She had been told that Trump lunged toward a Secret Service agent after they refused to take him to the Capitolriot.
The two Secret Service agents told CNN that there have been stories about the SUV incident for the past year.
