The scenic route was taken by the rocket that lofted the 46 Starlink satellites.

Tracking cam footage of the launch captured a stunning view of the rocket appearing to leap over the moon as it flew above the clouds.

The company's 32nd launch of the year was the fifth Starlink mission in July and bested its previous record.

According to Spaceflight Now, the company is going for another Starlink launch on July 24 from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. There is still no confirmation of the launch attempt.

The company's internet megaconstellation, Starlink, has launched more than 2,800 satellites and is designed to include at least 12,000 satellites.

The moon rose over San Luis Obispo, California, at 1:19 a.m. local time and set at 3:36 p.m.

According to the website, the moon is about a week past its full phase, which means it will reach a new moon on Thursday.
