The original Team Avatar: Aang, flanked by Katara, Sokka, Toph, and Zuko.

The beloved universe ofAvatar: The Last Airbender was announced last year. The first three feature films of the studio will be set in the universe of Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko. Since then, there have been rumors and hopes about who will lead those films, and we now know that at least one of them will be a reunion of the heroes who started it all.

Janet Varney, who voiced Korra in the sequel series of the same name, said during the panel that the first film would bring back Aang and his team of friends. Lauren Montgomery is the director of the film and it will be produced by DiMartino and Konietzko.

In the video above, Varney is reading a book by F.C. Yee. A film focused on her was rumored to be part of a trilogy of films about her. It could just be having some fun, but it could also be a soft admission of the next two films.

There are no plot details for the first film, and it is not known who from the original cast will come back. The voice actors of Zuko and Sokka were part of the panel, but didn't say anything about it. There will be details about the film in the near future. We have this news and a recently released novel to tide us over until the next update about this revival.
