A top star left SmackDown before the show on the day that Vince McMahon announced his retirement from the company.

Multiple sources said that Brock Lesnar left the Boston area hours before the start of Friday's episode of the show.

Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that the report was true and that the man was upset.

It's not clear if he was in Boston to take part in a pretaped segment or if he walked out before the show.

Just minutes after McMahon announced he was stepping down as chairman and CEO, the report came out.
