According to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News, Cooper said that Dee was ready. It's just about chance. He's ready to step up if KellenMoore decides to feature him. "Cee Dee is a leader."
Lamb needs to be Dallas' unquestioned leader in the passing game with Cooper and Gallup out.
Lamb exceeded Cooper's numbers last season. The second-year wideout led the team in both catches and yards and scored six times, ranking second behind Cooper. Cooper caught more passes than anyone else.
The Cowboys were comfortable with using Lamb as their top receiver.

If Gallup misses the beginning of the season, the Cowboys will likely rely more on their running game, which will include Tony Pollard and Zeke.
