The Baltimore Ravens aren't scrambling to sign quarterback Lamar Jackson to a contract extension despite Kyler Murray's big deal with the ArizonaCardinals on Thursday.
According to Jeremy Fowler, a Ravens source told him they're not panicked and are going to chip away at Jackson's contract.
Fowler said that there hasn't been a lot of hard progress between the two sides.
Jackson's contract will end in 2022. He's reporting to Ravens training camp this week.
Murray and the Cards agreed to a five-year, $230.5 million deal with $160 million guaranteed, according to a report.
Murray's contract has an average annual value of $46.1 million, making him the second highest paid quarterback behind Rodgers.
Murray has the third-biggest contract in the league in terms of total money, behind only Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.

Jackson has been one of the most successful quarterbacks in the league since he was drafted by Baltimore.
Jackson is 37-12 as a starter and has led the Ravens to the playoffs three times.
Murray has only taken the Cards to the playoffs once in three seasons, and they were defeated by the Rams in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
Jackson has put up some impressive numbers in his career, completing 64.1% of his passes for 9,967 yards, 84 touchdown and 31 interception while also rushing for 3,673 yards and 21 scores.
The two-time Pro Bowler and one-time first-team All-Pro truly took the league by storm in 2019: he led the NFL with 36 touchdown passes and rushed for a career-high 1,206 yards.
Jackson missed five games last season because of his style of play, but he is one of the league's most dynamic players.
It seems like a deal will get done eventually because he gives the Ravens their best chance to win. The Ravens can use the franchise tag to extend Jackson's stay even if it doesn't happen.
