Mexican ft bol has been shrouded in darkness.

The Mexico men's senior national team failed to win the CONCACAF Nations League and Gold Cup in a row, while the men's U20 squad was unable to earn invitations.

The Mexican Football Federation temporarily suspended the coaching staff for the women's U20 team due to an internal investigation. The coach was being reviewed for a serious matter, according to a report.

There are a lot of questions that have arisen amid the mess.

Following a disappointing run without a single goal or point for El Tri Femenil in this month's CONCACAF W Championship, the FMF president made sweeping changes last week. The sporting directors of national teams were fired. Luis Perez lost his job as the men's U20 coach.

"The results obtained in recent weeks by the men's U20 team and the senior women's national team, which signaled a heavy blow to Mexican soccer, and above all, for our fans, forces us to act," said De Luisa.

The sporting director for the men's national teams has been hired by De Luisa. The sporting director for the women's national teams will be announced in the coming days as a result of a restructuring of the FMF.

De Luisa was tight-lipped during the news conference.

We received a request for an investigation a short time ago. We started with the Mexican Football Federation's protocols for a case of this type after we received the document. We can't make a comment while the investigation is still going on.

The regression that has impacted several levels of the FMF that are missing out on World Cup, Olympics and major regional trophies will be stopped by Ordiales. They need to avoid the in-house and alleged problems that are being investigated at the women's U20 level.

De Luisa praised the former national team player, who will now conclude his role as the sporting director at Cruz Azul, as someone with the ability to analyze players at a time when the list with which we are going to a World Cup is going to be defined.

It's difficult to say that Ordiales is a unique hire. He has worked in the front offices of a number of companies. When the World Cup is just a few months away, having someone ingrained in the domestic scene is important, but going forward, he may not provide a fresh perspective.

What about Martino's future as the World Cup looms?

The relationship between Ordiales and Tata will be insightful. Despite being spared from the firings this month, there are still rumors of the Argentine wanting to leave after the World Cup. The national team will be without a coach when his contract ends in December.

Time will tell if the changes will be for the better. The alterations are nothing more than a switch in uniform on the pitch and suits at the headquarters.

There's a beautiful game here. You can watch tournaments and teams.

The traditional men's powerhouse in the region doesn't provide a push to innovate or think outside of the box, and while other national teams are making significant progress in men's, women's and youth tournaments, Mexico feels stagnant with worrisome results.

This goes to the other side of the world, as well. The top division of the men's game didn't win any silverware from the latest Campeones Cup, the MLS All-Star Game or the CCL. The most important story to emerge in Mexico's top flight so far is the fan violence that broke out at a match in March.

There are many issues that need to be improved, such as player development, significant minutes for domestic names, and pushing for more players to go abroad. Even though the women's game is growing and developing promising stars, better salaries must be provided to help these players who need more financial support. Several of the stars of other countries shined while those from El Tri Femenil stumbled.

Things could get worse once November arrives.

Heading into the men's World Cup in Qatar, which will be the most significant test and measuring stick for the Mexican soccer since Russia, the team has looked far from their best.

Despite finishing second in the table, El Tri often grinded out tense and nervy results that were low- scoring and lacked creativity in the final third. Mexico's chemistry and decision-making in the attack have made it hard to watch matches. Chants of " Fuera Tata " (Tata Out) have become common at games.

Since the World Cup-bound teams that Mexico have faced have included Canada, the US and Costa Rica, the players and their coach have stumbled their way to two wins and four draws. Mexico couldn't score a goal in the last four games.

Time is running out before November's World Cup, and after looking at the events that have transpired across the FMF, it seems thatQatar could prove to be the bitter icing on a misery cake.
