Have you ever had someone send you a message and then follow up a few minutes later with a question like "Hey, I know you're online, why aren't you responding?"
It's time to put an end to that.
The ability to hide your online status has been added to the latest version of the messaging service. You can see if a user is online or not when you open a chat.
Users will be able to modify the "last seen" and "online" features to be shown to everyone, all contacts, or nobody.
We knew the feature was coming thanks to a report from WABetaInfo earlier this month, but we didn't know when it would arrive on the other platform.
It is almost certain that the feature will show up in an official update to the app soon.
If you're trying to hide the fact that you've been using a messaging service all day, the feature should be useful.
