The first look at National Treasure: Edge of History was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con. A behind-the-scenes video and a trailer for the newest treasure hunter were released by the streamer.
Jess is a dreamer who sets off on an adventure to find and save a lost Pan- American treasure. Olivera is joined by Zuri Reed, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodriguez, Jake Austin Walker, Lyndon Smith, and Catherine Zeta- Jones. The actor will reprise his role as Riley. Harvey Keitel will reprise his role as FBI Special Agent Peter Sadusky on the show.
Nicholas Cage starred in the National Treasure film series as Benjamin Gates, a treasure hunter who found some of the world's greatest valuables. In the first film, Gates discovered a map on the back of the Declaration of Independence, which led him to one of the world's greatest treasures. Gates used the Book of Secrets to prove the innocence of his great-great-grandfather in the second film. Cage won't be in the series.
The authors of the films return as writers on the series. The two producers of both films will be joined by the wibberleys as executive producers. The series will be directed by Mira Nair, who will also serve as an executive producer with others.
National Treasure: Edge of History won't be on Disney+ until sometime in the future.
