Fantasy Epic The Wheel of Time Will Return for a Third Season

The Wheel of Time is based on Robert Jordan's epic fantasy novel series. The series will return for a third season after being renewed for a second.

The Wheel of Time will return for a third season, according to a press release. The Shadow Rising is my favorite book in the series, so being able to bring it to television and introduce new audiences to the stories that made me fall in love with these books is an honor, and something I have been working toward since I first pitched.

At the San Diego Comic-Con panel today, there was news about The Wheel of Time: Origins. The six-part digital series, which was originally an X-Ray feature attached to The Wheel of Time, is now available for streaming separately. The series digs into aspects of history and culture in just three minutes, while also being visually stunning.

The second season of The Wheel of Time is expected to arrive later next year, since Prime Video will be releasing Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power later that year. Here is a small glimpse of season two that was released at the panel.
