The White House press secretary said "I don't think that matters" when a reporter asked where the president caught Covid-19.

Jean-Pierre said that what mattered was that they were prepared for the moment.

She interrupted the doctor, who said he didn't think it was known where the president got the virus.

Jean-Pierre tried to make sense of her comment.

She said that she was trying to say that he was working for the American people and that he had mild symptoms.

Biden is being treated with Paxlovid after testing positive for the disease. Jean-Pierre said he will be in isolation for five days and will only come out when he gets a positive test.
