The sequel to the undisputed lightweight title will take place in Australia on October 16.

There is a chance that the bout will be held at the Australian Open's Rod Laver Arena.

Haney agreed to a return bout in Australia later this year after he fought Kambosos. The four 135-pound titles were captured by Haney in a unanimous decision in June.

There was no need to negotiate the second time around. The date and the site are the only loose ends that need to be tied up.

Kambosos will get a second shot at the titles he won from Teofimo Lopez in November, despite the fact that the first meeting was very one-sided.

As the fight wore on, the 29-year-old became frustrated as he was unable to deal with the excellent jab and defense of the 29-year-old. Kambosos' victory over Lopez featured both men on the canvas. The boxer chose to box from the outside and pile up rounds. The boxers were never in danger during the bout.

Kambosos is ranked as the 4th lightest fighter in the world. The boxer from Las Vegas is rated the number one fighter.
