Three people were killed in the Valencia region in the last two weeks while watching the running of the bulls.

All of the men died within a day of each other.

A man who was thrown into the air by a bull as he hid behind a block in the middle of the street died Tuesday in a Valencia hospital. He was hurt at a festival south of Valencia.

A man who was gored by a bull in the city of Meliana died from his injuries. A Frenchman was injured by a bull in Pedreguer.

The best-known bull run in Spain is the San Fermin bull run. 35 people were injured at that festival.

In the past eight years, at least 20 people have died in bull- running events in Spain, with 478 people injured this year.

The mayor of Meliana said bull-running participants knowingly accepted the risks. The Valencia Festivals were criticized by the Animalist Party Against Mistreatment of Animals.

The bous al carrer is an important tourism draw for the region. More than 3000 jobs and $300 million per year were attributed to the festivals before they were halted due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
