A video of a robot dog shooting a sub machine gun went viral.
It's not hard to see why the minute-and-a-half clip is morbid. The dog robot is pointing the gun at the open area beyond the brick floor. The recoil almost knocked the bot off balance.

Vice sleuthed out that the gun in question is a cheap model built by UnitreeYusu and that the weapon is a PP-19Vityaz.
The dog and gun were tracked by Vice. The conclusion is that the guy is a tech enthusiast who likes to go to the shooting range and build a bot for fun. It seems like he's not planning a war.
The sound of a dog's feet followed by gunshots is frightening, but it isn't the worst of its kind. Military contractors build dogs with guns. The bot in the clip wasn't able to shoot accurately because it couldn't handle the recoil.
The dog with a gun may be scary, but what the professionals are cooking up is worse.
The investigators analyzed the sample to make an arrest.
