White House Says President Joe Biden Has COVID

The White House said that president Joe Biden had tested positive for the disease.

He has received two booster shots so far and they say he is experiencing very mild symptoms.

It seems that vaccinations are effective at preventing more severe symptoms of the disease for people of Biden's age. In November, the president turned 80.

He isn't the first US president to test positive for the disease. The president and his wife tested positive for a drug.

In order to avoid infecting others, Biden will be participating in his meetings via phone and video conference.

Paxlovid has been shown to reduce the risk of death from the coronaviruses and he is taking it.

The White House will provide a daily update on the President's status as he continues to carry out his duties while in isolation.

They said that Biden was negative on Tuesday.
