A restraining order against Ricky Martin was dismissed in Puerto Rican court on Thursday after his nephew dropped complaints of harassment.
The protective order was put in place on July 1 and expired on Thursday, but the nephew refused to continue it.
Forbes reached out to representatives for Martin for comment on Variety's report that he appeared in the hearing virtually.
The complaint against Martin was not criminal.
The accuser told the court that the decision to dismiss the case was his alone.
Martin posted a picture of the statement "truth prevails."
Insider reported Wednesday that Martin's nephew told police that he had received threats if he appeared in court.
Martin's lawyers said that the false allegations were made by a troubled person.
At the beginning of the month, a restraining order was filed against Martin. The accuser, who was unnamed in the complaint in accordance with the law, claimed Martin loitered outside the accuser's home and continued to call the accuser, with whom he had a seven-month-long relationship with. Two months ago, the relationship ended. Martin's nephew was the accuser. Martin denied that he had a relationship with his nephew. The idea that Martin was involved in any kind of sexual or romantic relationship with his nephew is not only untrue, it is disgusting, according to one of Martin's lawyers. The nephew wasstruggling with mental health challenges, according to the singer.
