  • The World's strongest man only did three movements for two months.

  • Tom's brother made him master a lot of things.

  • According to Insider, this led to the greatest gains in his strength and body fat.

The world's strongest man says he only did the same three moves for two months when he started lifting, which helped build his strength.

When Tom first got into strength training, he followed the advice of his brother, who is also a strongman, and only did bench presses for two months.

He wouldn't allow me to train anything else until I got them sorted.

The two-time reigning World's Strongest Man says these are the three most important exercises to master.

It was only after he mastered the techniques required for these moves that he was confident enough to branch out in his training.

Insider's Jake Johnson previously reported that the record for lifting the heaviest Atlas Stone was held by a man who is 6'8".

Powerlifters use deadlifts, squats and bench presses to test their strength. They engage multiple muscle groups. They are so effective at building muscle because of this.

Many of the strongest and fittest athletes in the world, such as powerlifter and UK's Fittest Man, and five times Fittest Man on Earth, rate the three exercises.

Overhead presses and pull-ups are examples of compound movements.

Stoltman says compound exercises led to the greatest gains

He said that the greatest gains for the man were in terms of strength and appearance.

"Deadlifts work your entire body, bench press works your chest and shoulders, and squats work your legs," he said.

Core engagement and stability are required for heavy weight lifting.

Many people think they aren't strong enough to perform compound exercises and begin weight lifting with accessory movements, but this is not a good idea, according to the man.

"They're too scared to do those three lifts and they go on the machines because they're comfortable, and then they wonder why they look the same two months later," he said.

He said that even though his friends were training specific body parts with accessory exercises, he hadexcelled faster than them and started growing really quickly.

He says people should get a personal trainer to teach them how to use their arms.

If you want to do accessory exercises, start doing them when you're confident enough to do them on your own.
