Southwest's schedule is usually only available for 6 months out, so booking advanced reservations can be hard. Southwest is extending their schedule through March 8, 2023. We have over seven months of availability, including the entire Summer.
September 8th is when the next extension will take place.

The early spring and late winter flights that work into the kid's school schedule can be booked with this new extension. It is a good idea to get in early for flights during peak times because Southwest will give you a refund if the price goes down.
Hopefully checking the schedule early will result in some discounted flight bookings. It is probably wise to book early and don’t forget to check regularly to see if the price drops so you can get a refund.
