Windows 11’s new taskbar overflow is perfect for people who keep all their apps open

A new feature in Windows 11 will make it easier to find your open apps when you run out of space in the Taskbar. It is ideal for people who like to keep all of their apps open. The new taskbar overflow is a three-dot menu that hides all the apps that can't fit on the taskbar at the same time.

If you open too many apps in Windows 11 and Windows 10, the taskbar creates an overflow area that only shows the most recent ones. If you don't use alt+tab and other multitasking features, it can be hard to navigate between a lot of programs on smaller laptop screens.

The overflow menu is similar to the Windows 11 design and includes all the features you would expect to see. The menu will silently dismiss after you click outside of it or navigate to an application.

Just a few days ago, Microsoft revealed it was testing a newUI for Windows 11. The search bar and notification badges from Windows 10 are being tested by the software giant.

You will now be able to quickly find nearby PCs with the support of the built-in share window.
