The Amadea, the $300 million luxury vessel owned by Suleiman Kerimov, has been seized by US law enforcement.
According to CNN, the deputy attorney general said that the jeweled egg may have been found at the Aspen Security Forum. The jeweled egg could be one of the few undiscovered pieces in the world and worth millions.
The eggs are decorated with jewels. The Russian imperial family received 50 Imperial Easter eggs. The Russian House of Romanov commissioned the works to be between three and five inches in size.
Ultra- rare eggs have been sold for millions of dollars. They have shown up in the most unlikely places, like at a US flea market in which they were estimated to be worth $33 million.
The egg that US law enforcement might have found on Kerimov's yacht came into their possession after it was seized. Kerimov's yacht was seized after it traveled from Mexico to Fiji. It traveled through the Pacific Ocean for 18 days before arriving in Lautoka.
The FBI says it has evidence that will help it in its investigation of Kerimov. The vessel flew a US flag after arriving in the San Diego Bay.
Insider requested a comment from the DOJ.
The Victoria and Albert Museum in the UK had a discussion about another egg. The museum might not be able to return the egg to Vekselberg because of sanctions.
