That is what some fans are experiencing who tried to purchase tickets for the Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band concerts that went on sale the morning of July 20.

The price of some floor seats went up to more than $4,000 because of the dynamic pricing system that adjusts the price in real time.

On the next tour, it will be more of a medical check-in on those who had to sell a kidneys to be able to afford tickets, joked one fan.

On Wednesday, the show's base price was between $60 and $399.

"A lot of rock bands are charging those kinds of prices and are able to do the dynamic pricing, but I wish he put a cap on it or said I'm not comfortable with doing that." With how demand is going, the dynamic pricing has become out of control.

Some took exception to the fact that the fans who registered as "verified fans" were subject to dynamic pricing.

Kevin Farrell said that the process of becoming a fan is rigged. They can control and raise prices at will because of dynamic pricing, because they know exactly how many seats are available. The process has become an auction with the auctioneer making sure they get the most money possible.

A fan asked Steven Van Zandt what he was doing on the social networking site.

I don't have anything to do with ticket prices. There's nothing. I didn't find anything. It's Niente. Van Zandt said that bubkis were good.

The Denver and Boston shows went on sale Wednesday. There are tickets for the shows that are verified.

The Toyota Center in Houston, Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland do not require a fan code to purchase tickets.

There are also shows in New York City on April 1 and in New York on April 9 and 11.

After stadium shows in Europe, there will be a second North American tour. More than one million tickets have been sold for European shows.
