Sean Payton

After 15 years as the head coach of the New Orleans Saints, Sean Payton walked away from the sideline this year, but is already talking about a possible return.

Is it possible that I will get back in? USA TODAY asked if it's possible. It is not possible to predict who that club will be. There are usually at least six openings a year. There are a number of factors that will determine if there is a right fit.

He felt his time in New Orleans had come to an end. He might have realized winning without a Hall of Fame quarterback is hard.

The Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones were taken away from them by the New Orleans Saints. Now that he is considering a return to coaching, the team that he has been linked to is America's Team.

I know how that sounds, but I believe that Payton would be an upgrade over McCarthy.

It would be a must-see TV to watch the game between the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints. Drew Brees was turned into an elite quarterback by the help of Payton, who showed some promise with the Bolts. It would be easy to see how the same thing could happen to Prescott.

Cowboys fans, here is where I need to break your bubble. I don't think it will happen. There is an issue standing in the way of the Cowboys having a new head coach. He wouldn't be able to run the team the way he wanted.

The franchise will not be in Dallas.

Payton molding another young QB

There are only a few realistic options for teams to get him back in the next year or two, one of them being Jacksonville.

If the Jags don't make significant strides, I think Shad Khan will take another swing at a big-name head coach.

The latter has more Super Bowl wins than the other. If there is a chance for the Jags to bring in Payton, Khan will call. Jags fans must be drooling at the thought of a coach like that.

Payton to Hollywood

There is a place with a young quarterback.

The time to win is when the team can afford to surround him with weapons and protect him.

If the Bolts don't make the playoffs. It's possible that the blame is on Staley.

Money is the only thing standing in the way of Payton moving to LA. He will be able to name his price. Is the Bolts able to afford him?

Is the other LA team related? Even though the Rams are fresh off a Super Bowl victory, Sean McVay could still retire soon.

The first name on the Rams' list would have to be Payton if he were to leave. You don't know with these coaches. Some people are not football lifers.

Long shots

It's possible that Seattle will look for a new head coach by the time Payton returns. PeteCarroll's time is almost up with the team. He isn't long for his current job, but he isn't leaving the franchise altogether.

The Seahawks don't have a long-term quarterback, but could be in a good position to take one next year. He might not be in favor of a rebuild, but he would probably have more say over the team.

Do you think about Arizona? If Kliff Kingsbury can't get that team to the playoffs over the next two seasons, he could be the perfect coach to get them there.

The Cards team has made a habit of falling off in the second half of the season. There is a chance that he doesn't finish the contract even though he signed an extension in March. He is the luckiest coach in the country.

When he decides it is time to get back on the field, there will be a lot of interest in him.

Around mid-November, you'll hear his name linked to teams that aren't performing well.
