The new tag for the rockets and spaceships will be made by the toy company.

The global toy company has entered into a multi-year agreement with Musk's commercial spaceflight firm to create and market toys. The first products under the partnership will be released in 2023 as part of the Matchbox line of die-cast cars.

The partnership is the first of its kind. A future in which humanity is out among the stars is more exciting than one in which we are not, according to Brian Bjelde, vice president at SpaceX. The next generation of space explorers and enthusiasts will be inspired by the work of Mattel.

The announcement was made on the 53rd anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. The next missions to the lunar surface will be carried out under NASA's Artemis program, and a version of the Starship spaceship is currently being developed by the company.

On the eve of San Diego Comic Con, the news was announced.

There were no details about the specific sets that would be coming next year.

This is not the first time that the company has licensed a model shop to create desktop versions of its vehicles.

The International Space Station National Lab collaborated with the toy company to send two Barbie dolls to the outpost to encourage girls to consider careers in the sciences. The Barbie dolls were styled after real-life astronauts and cosmonauts, as well as NASA mathematician.

Miniatures of NASA's Curiosity and Perseverance Mars rovers have been created under the Hot Wheels brand. The company released Hot Wheels toy versions of Musk's electric sports car, which was launched on the first flight of the rocket.

Matchbox has sold space vehicles in the past. The brand's toys have included NASA's Space Exploration Vehicle and a die-cast version of Sierra Space's Dream Chaser.

Major Matt Mason, an astronauts action figure from the 1960's, is being reintroduced at San Diego Comic-Con. The spaceman is part of a set.
