The Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers are engaged in trade discussions regarding Buddy Hield.

There have been discussions between the Lakers and Pacers. If you're also talking about having Myles Turner in that deal, it's possible that it's a Buddy Hield deal as well. It could be a secondary move to get Buddy Hield from Talen Horton-Tucker.

According to Jacob Rude of Silver Screen & Roll, the Lakers have interest in both Hield and Eric Gordon.

The piece that would have to be moved is Talen Horton-Tucker. It could be the plan B if they can't get this situation to come to fruition.

Irving was linked to the Lakers before he picked up his option with the Nets. He would almost certainly replace Westbrook, who appears headed for an "inevitable divorce" with the purple and gold.

According to reports, the Lakers had an opportunity to acquire Hield last summer but instead used their assets to acquire Westbrook, who struggled in his first season with the team.

He shot 44.4% from the floor and 29.8% from deep in 78 games.

Many of L.A.'s players struggled last year. In the NBA, they made just 34.7% of their shots from beyond the rim.

L.A.'s shooting struggles would be helped by the acquisition of Hield. In his six-year career, the 29-year-old has shot 38.6 percent from three-point range and 38.6 percent from deep.

Hield shot 40.6 percent from the floor last season.

The Lakers didn't make the playoffs in their 11th season. The team has exhausted all of its options in order to get back to title contention.
