Bridges pleaded not guilty to three felony domestic violence charges in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascon filed three felony charges against Bridges on Tuesday for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in front of their two children.

A date for a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for August 19th.

In a news release Tuesday, Gascon said that his office had filed two counts of child abuse and one count of injuring a child's parent. There is an allegation of causing great bodily injury on the domestic violence victim. The release said that the children were present for the alleged assault, but didn't say what the child abuse counts were.

Bridges was released on a $130,000 bond after he was arrested by Los Angeles police. The Hornets and NBA both said that they were aware of the charges and that the league was investigating them.

Last season, the Hornets' leading scorer was Bridges, who averaged 20.2 points per game. The Hornets had an opportunity to match any offer sheet Bridges signs with another team after he was arrested.
